Like a dream

Nature

When you hear "Alta Badia", your imagination immediately starts drawing the rugged profiles of the imposing Dolomites. Indeed, they are the real protagonists of this scenery, governing the local people's life and launching new and new challenges but recompensing with landscapes of unrivalled beauty, recognized as a UNESCO heritage site. The village of Badia, where the Runcac Hotel stands, enjoys a picturesque location between the Gardenaccia massif, making part of the Puez-Geisler nature park, and mighty Sasso di Santa Croce, a part of the Fanes plateau and of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags  nature park. Nature lovers will find here numerous itineraries leading through virgin landscapes and offering, in summer, extraordinary hikes among flowering rhododendrons, arnica, Alpine poppies and many other species, as well as exciting encounters with wild animals, including hares, marmots, roe deer, deer and eagles.
